Mr. Andrus began his real estate career in 1981 having completed his BA at University of Louisiana at Lafayette and one year of post graduate work. He joined his father, Dwight W. Andrus, Jr., in the family real estate enterprise to learn the business and continue the family's tradition of real estate expertise in the Lafayette, Louisiana area through a third generation. He learned all aspects of the real estate industry with an emphasis on real estate development, finance, sales, leasing and management. He received his Louisiana Real Estate Broker's license in 1986 and has acted as the sponsoring broker for the family real estate company for over a decade. Mr. Andrus earned his CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager) certification from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) in 1988 and has been extensively involved in the leasing and management of commercial properties with an emphasis on shopping centers and office buildings. Mr. Andrus also serves as the trust partner for Andrus Investments, LLC and is the CFO of Dwight W. Andrus Insurance, a large family owned independent insurance agency.
